Walker Research Idea 1 (continued)

By 1870, the 56 year old Teackle may not have had the physical endurance for farming due to the tuberculosis that he would die from three years later as he is listed as a miller on the census, though his 19 year old son, William, who was in the household, was listed as a farm laborer.  50 year old Elisabeth is still keeping house with the apparent help of a 9 year old black child named,Theodosia, who is also listed as a Walker.

After Teackle’s death, his wife, Elizabeth, moves in with her youngest son, William T. Walker, and his family, and is enumerated with them in the 1880 census.

Teackle and Margaret had the following children:

1.  Robert W. Walker, born October 1844 at Accomack County, Virgina.  He married first, Mary T. Littleton, and second, Emma Sterling.

2.  William T. Walker, born 1850 in Accomack County, Virginia
